Resolved Question: How do I become an HS in the US Coast Guard?

Questions.Questions.Questions. . . I have been giving enlisting a lot of thought. This summer I hope to graduate from vigorous basic training. Once I graduate what is next on my path to becoming an HS? Can I just fly to Petaluma CA to attend an "A" school and go through their program and then am I transferred where ever and begin active duty as an HS? Is this process correct? If I'm qualified of course. Is their any down time? or would I go directly from basic training to the "A" school and begin the 12-13 week program does anyone know?
