The following is part of a series of contributions to the history of petaluma art in the United States and Canada. Below are some of the newer entries in this series, as well as a brief description of some of them.

The exhibition Black Artists in Art is on loan from Oakstop Gallery in Oakland and will include paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints, photographs, videos, audio, posters, books and more. Most of the work is contemporary, but Collins has a particular affinity for rockers like Carlos Santana, who painted guitar straps.
